The new releases iColor Display 3.6 and iColor Print 1.6 are compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Also the Intelli Scan series are compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.

Quato and Helios receive FograCert Softproof Certification

At today´s color work, there is more and more demand for highly accurate softproofing because the simulation of proofs and prints more and more replaces simple contract and in-position proofs. The smooth cooperation of all devices and technologies is crucial for a highly precise simulation of printing results. Because of that, the Fogra (www.fogra.org) has developed the FograCert Softproofing Programme. This certification programme evaluates and certifies complete systems containing a pre-certified display, a pre-certified viewing booth and a softproofing software. As soon as Quato was awared a Class-A pre-certification status (Fogra PreCert) for the Intelli Proof 240/262 excellence and Intelli Proof 240 excellence LED, Helios (www.helios.de) has submitted complete systems (Helios Webshare UB+ plus Softproofing, Quato IP 240/262ex & IP 240ex LED, Just Viewing Booth) and received the FograCert Softproof Certification for the printing condition Fogra39 (ISOcoatedv2). New iColor Print 1.5 and new iColor Ouput available
iColor Print´s updated profiling engine offers even more precise color profiles. The optional Mediawedge Certification Module enables iColor Print to measure and testify the Ugra/Fogra Mediawedge 2/3 and the Gracol Strip. Additionally, the Gamut viewer now allows to switch between projection and level view. iColor Ouput 2 for Mac OS X 10.5 turns every compatible inkjet printer into a contract proofing device. iColor Output contains the Ugra/Fogra Mediwedge 3 and can use custom paper profile, making iColor Print the perfect partner for iColor Output.

Quato introduces new extended wide gamut displays
The new Intelli Proof 240 excellence and Intelli Proof 262 excellence are the first units to make use of the patented ADC uniformity control circuit. Additionally, both units have a wide gamut of 102% NTSC that covers almost 98% of the Adobe-RGB or 95% of the ECI-RGB color space. Plus, both offer a 100% match to the ISOcoated v2 offset printing reference according to the integrated UDACT. This makes both monitors a good choice not only for Prepress applications but also for professional photographers. Contract proof like softproofs and precise color reproduction of dynamic RGB-Data is now possible with a TFT.

New iColor Diplay 3.5 available
The specially designed backlights for the Intelli Proof 213 excellence and Intelli Proof 260 excellence allow a 100% match to the ISO 12647/FOGRA 39L based ISOcoated v2 offset printing reference according to UDACT. The ECI-optimized gamut of the 260 excellence makes the monitor a good choice not only for Prepress applications but also for professional photographers. For the first time, contract proof like softproofs and precise color reproduction of dynamic RGB-Data is possible with a TFT. The 213 excellence offers the same precision and technical approach as the 260 excellence but uses a Adobe-RGB optimized backlight and is also perfectly suited for Softproofing and the Adobe-RGB D-SLR workflows of professional photographers.
